When can you making a complaint to the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT)?
A complaint may be made if the employer fails to comply with the law, particularly in situations relating to:
- occupational health and safety;
- fixed-term employment contracts;
- You can also file a complaint for other reasons if there is evidence of a breach of labour standards.
- inequality and discrimination at work;
- posting of workers abroad or posting of workers to Portugal;
- working-time duration and organisation;
- collective representation for workers – joint action by workers through entities or mechanisms (such as trade unions) that defend their collective interests and rights;
- undeclared or irregular work;
- temporary work; or
- migrant work.
