The person responsible for the agency must deregister on the National Tourism Registry portal within 30 working days after the agency ceases trading, is dissolved or goes into receivership.

No documents are required to cancel the registration of a travel agency or tour operator.

To deregister the agency on the National Tourism Registry portal, you will need to sign in using one of the following means of authentication:

  • Digital Mobile Key (CMD)
  • Citizen Card
  • Public: a tax identification number (TIN) and password to access the Tourism portal
  • Public Finance password: login details for the Tax Office website (TIN and password)

Procedure

To deregister the travel agency or tour operator, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the National Tourism Registry portal and log in
  2. In your private area, select the register you need
  3. Choose the ‘Deregister’ option
  4. Fill in the reason (closure, dissolution or receivership) and state the date on which the agency ceased trading
  5. Confirm and submit the form
