Applying for the recognition of goods after a request for examination
This service is exclusively for those who have made a request for examination in relation to the marketing of goods in Portugal under the mutual recognition procedure and who intend to go ahead with the application for authorisation or the notification regarding the marketing of goods on the Portuguese market.

Time of issue/decision
A entidade competente responde no prazo de 15 dias úteis após a receção pedido para:
- comunicar ao operador económico que o pedido foi aceite. O operador pode começar a comercializar o produto.
- comunicar ao operador económico que o pedido não foi aceite.
- caso existam erros no pedido, contactar a autoridade competente pelo produto no EM de origem para pedir mais informações. A resposta deve ser dada no prazo de 15 dias úteis. Depois de receber a resposta, a entidade competente tem mais 15 dias úteis para comunicar ao operador económico que o pedido foi aceite ou recusado.

- Regulamento (UE) 2019/515 do Parlamento Europeu e do Conselho de 19 de março de 2019 - o regulamento estabelece as regras e os procedimentos relativos à aplicação pelos Estados-Membros (EM) do princípio do reconhecimento mútuo, em casos individuais, em relação às mercadorias que são comercializadas legalmente noutro EM.
- Decreto-Lei n.º 6/2021 de 12 de janeiro - aprova as normas de execução necessárias ao cumprimento, na ordem jurídica interna, do Regulamento (UE) 2019/515, em estreita articulação com o Regulamento (UE) 2018/1724, do Parlamento Europeu e do Conselho, de 2 de outubro de 2018, relativo à criação de uma plataforma digital única para a prestação de acesso a informações, a procedimentos e a serviços de assistência e de resolução de problemas.
