Performance of digital skills diagnostic assessments

The Academia Portugal Digital aims to broaden the digital skills of the active population, with a particular focus on employees and managers in the Industrial, Trade, Service, Tourism and Agricultural sectors. The objective is to elevate the overall qualification level of these individuals.

To that end, five tests are made available for digital skills diagnostic assessment, which enable the identification of areas for improvement and recommendations regarding a number of free specially designed courses.

Digital skills diagnostic assessments

Anyone can undertake the free digital skills diagnostic assessments offered by the Academia Portugal Digital.

Active population: Digital literacy diagnostic assessments serve as a tool for self-knowledge, helping to identify digital skills and areas for improvement.

Companies and organisations: They serve as a strategic tool for evaluating the digital skills of teams, devising targeted training plans and enhancing digital productivity.

Digital skills diagnostic assessments are available free of charge and can be undertaken at any level of training.

To proceed with a digital skills diagnostic assessment, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Academia Portugal Digital platform - https://academiaportugaldigital.pt
  2. To use the platform, you will need to either register or log in to an existing account
  3. Please select one of the 5 digital skills areas to assess
  4. Answer the questions in each of the 5 diagnostic assessments. Each digital skills area should take approximately 5 minutes
  5. Review the recommended courses
  6. Should you wish to obtain a copy of the test results, they can be made available on your profile.

Digital skills areas

Digital skills diagnostic assessments evaluate five key digital skills areas:

  1. Web Search and Browsing

This diagnostic assessment evaluates the ability to locate, filter, assess and organise online information effectively via search engines.

  1. Digital Content Design and Management

Evaluation of the ability to create, edit, and manage digital content, which includes text, digital images and videos.

  1. Digital Communication and Sharing

Assessment of an individual's proficiency in the effective use of social networks, digital collaborative tools and online communication platforms.

  1. Online Safety and Privacy

It analyses knowledge on cyber safety, personal data protection and the best safe internet browsing practices.

  1. Online Troubleshooting

Evaluation of the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, use software and navigate operating systems independently.
