Unfilled invoices and receipt invoices will no longer be available on Portal das Finanças

From 1 July 2025, it will no longer be possible to issue blank invoices and receipt invoices on Portal das Finanças.

Users who used blank templates, which could be filled in by hand, to record transfers of goods or services will no longer be able to do so.

Dates to watch out for

• From 1 to 7 July 2025: Invoices or receipt invoices obtained before 30 June can be used, provided they relate to transactions that took place before 30 June 2025.
• Until 14 July 2025: Invoices issued before 30 June 2025 must be collected on the Finance Portal.
• After 14 July 2025: Unfilled invoices that have not been collected will be automatically cancelled by the Tax Authority. 

Unfilled receipts are still available after 1 July, but can only be used to prove payment of unfilled invoices issued before 30 June 2025.
