The deadline for paying IMI and submitting the Modelo 22 tax return has been extended

The deadlines for paying the Municipal Property Tax (IMI) or submitting the IRC declaration (Modelo 22) have been extended due to technical problems in the Tax and Customs Authority (AT - Finanças) systems, caused by the “blackout” that affected Portugal in April.

The deadline for paying the first installment (or single installment) of IMI 2024 has been extended to June 30 for all taxpayers, due to delays in issuing and sending collection notes.

Delivery of Model 22

The IRC income tax return (Modelo 22) can now be submitted until June 16, due to difficulties in accessing the AT - Finanças Portal, which have affected the work of companies and accountants.
