The SNS launches a tele-consultation service on the SNS24 Line
The National Health Service (SNS) has launched a new teleconsultation service on the SNS24 Line, to offer a faster and more effective solution for users in less serious health situations.
The service is aimed at users who have the clinical conditions to be seen by a doctor remotely, once they have been triaged. Available since 17 December, the service will be in a pilot phase for three months.
How do teleconsultations work?
After screening and clinical assessment by an SNS24 Line health professional, the user can be directed to a video call, which will be made by doctors specialising in general and family medicine.
The teleconsultation is free and takes place on an online transmission platform, accessible via the SNS 24 Portal, via the link received via SMS, or via the SNS 24 mobile app.
The doctor can make a diagnosis, prescribe prescriptions and make a care plan. Depending on the severity of the patient's condition, the doctor may decide that the next appointment should be in person.
To access the teleconsultation, the user must have a digital device with a camera, microphone and internet access. They must ensure that they are in a private environment for the consultation.
The SNS 24 Line teleconsultation is integrated into the SNS, and all appointments are available in the user's health record history, with the clinical report shared at the end of the consultation.
