You can now talk to the gov.pt portal's new virtual assistant
The gov.pt portal has a new artificial intelligence virtual assistant that can speak in 12 languages about the portal's more than 2,300 public services.
Launched at the end of 2024, the assistant replaces the portal's former digital assistants, using the latest generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies and a knowledge base specialized in public services.
Through the icon located in the bottom right-hand corner of the portal, citizens can ask questions and clarify information about public services, in a conversational register, via written text or voice. The conversation can also take place in chat or in interaction with an animated avatar, allowing for a more immersive and innovative experience.
New features are planned for 2025, including the possibility of carrying out services with the assistant herself, following processes or scheduling attendance at public services.
