Young people up to the age of 23 can now use the free pass

The new free pass for young people up to the age of 23, both students and non-students, has been available since December 1st. This measure, which is part of the Green Mobility Package approved by the Council of Ministers at the beginning of October, involves an investment of 40 million euros and the government estimates that it will reach around 240,000 potential users.

To access the free pass, young people only need to present their Citizen Card as proof of age. Activation and loading have also been simplified via the Andante and Navegante mobile apps.

Previously, the pass was only free for young people who were students.
