Wages and pensions: new withholding tax tables for 2025

The new Personal Income Tax (IRS) withholding tables, which will be applied to salaries and pensions from January 2025, have already been published in Order no. 236-A/2025 of 6 January.

This update to the withholding tables is based on:

• the increase in the National Minimum Wage, from 820 euros to 870 euros
• the updating of the IRS brackets
• the increase in the Existence Minimum, to 12,180 euros.

The IAS has also been updated

Order no. 236-A/2025 of 6 January also updated the value of the Social Support Index (IAS) from 509.26 euros in 2024 to 522.50 euros in 2025.
