Fraud attempt on behalf of the ePortugal portal

The Agência para a Modernização Administrativa (AMA) has been informed that fraudulent emails are circulating on behalf of the ePortugal.gov.pt portal. The email, sent by the sender gov8@verify.pt and with the subject "Seu reembolso está em processo", uses the image and name of ePortugal.gov.pt.

The email is about an accidental charge made on a recent invoice, in which the person who received the email is asked to request a refund of the unduly charged amount.

These emails are not sent by AMA or any application related to the ePortugal portal. They are part of a fraudulent scheme to get people to divulge personal or bank details via fake websites.

The ePortugal portal will never ask for personal or bank account details by email.

If you receive an email like this or a similar message, you should block the sender and mark the message as SPAM.
