Turismo de Portugal reinforces support line for tourism companies with 300 million euros

Turismo de Portugal has signed a protocol with 12 banks to increase the Tourism Qualification and Supply Support Line by 300 million euros for 2024. 
The support line is aimed at financing micro, small, medium and large tourism companies that want to invest in the requalification, expansion, adaptation and repositioning of their existing offer.

This support also aims to create new investment related to projects integrated into the REVIVE Program and companies joining the Tourism 360º Companies Program.

Among the main changes in this line of support for 2024 is the increase in the maximum limit per operation on the part of Turismo de Portugal, from 1.5 million euros to three million euros. This increase aims to ensure that companies:

• have a greater capacity for intervention 
• include investment costs for employee housing
• reinforce environmental and social responsibility measures in companies with the Sustainability Leader distinction in the Tourism 360º Companies Program.

Another change is the increase in the value of the performance bonus to a maximum of 30% for micro and small enterprises, 15% for medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and 5% for non-SMEs. As far as financing conditions are concerned, the maximum is 80% of the eligible investment up to a limit of three million euros.
