The saver (person holding the certificates)

The legal representative of an accompanied minor or adult saver

The holder's authorised representative with special powers (see instruction 01/2023).

At the counter, at the entity's service counter or CTT post offices.

What are the documents and requirements to change the address associated with the Conta Aforro (Savings Account)?

To change the address of Savings Certificates and Treasury Certificates you need to:

  • present your identification document (national identity card or citizen's card, passport or European Union identification document, or residence permit in the case of foreigners with resident status in Portugal)
  • present proof of address (electronic reading of the citizen's card, certificate extracted from the tax office portal, or IRS assessment note (last year submitted))
  • if the person entitled is a minor or accompanied adult, whoever legally represents them must submit their identification document (national identity card or citizen's card, passport or European Union identification document or residence permit, in the case of foreigners with resident status in Portugal), as well as the completed form that applies to their capacity (Declaration of Parental Responsibilities - model 711 or Representative form (proxy / legal representative / mover) - model 701-A).

Take your identity document and proof of address with you.
