Booking a school visit to the Jerónimos Monastery
To take a study tour of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Belém, also known as the Jerónimos Monastery, you must book in advance.
Only school visits can be booked in advance. Other group visits, organised by tour guides or private individuals, do not need to be booked.

Appointments by telephone can only be made from Tuesday to Friday, between 9.30am and 4.30pm. On public holidays, it is not possible to book visits by this method.

Requests must be made at least 7 days in advance.
What is the price to booking a school visit to the Jerónimos Monastery?
Booking a school visit is free of charge. However, the school must demonstrate that the subject programme is related to the history, art or architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery or its historical period.
If the request does not meet these conditions, the visit must be paid for. Residents of Portugal can use voucher 52, but this is subject to available time slots and entry queues.
School visits are only authorised if the number of pupils is compatible with the available visiting times. If this limit is exceeded, the visit may not be authorised.
