How to request the PIN codes for the Citizen Card?
If you have lost the letter or have forgotten your Citizen Card’s PIN codes and have requested or renewed your Citizen Card after 16 April 2018, you can request new PIN codes.

How can you Request new PIN codes for the Citizen Card?
If you have a Citizen Card and lost the PIN codes letter:
- You may recover the PIN codes on a Citizen Card’s service desk, if you have requested or renewed the Citizen Card after 16 April 2018
- You must renew the Citizen Card if you have requested or renewed the Citizen Card before 16 April 2018
If you have lost or did not receive the letter of PIN codes to withdraw the new Citizen Card, you can request a duplicate of the PIN letter.
You may also request a duplicate of the PIN codes letter if you did not receive the address change confirmation letter.
The letter of PIN codes of the Citizen Card contains the:
- Address PIN, necessary to confirm the change of address
- Authentication PIN, necessary to sign in and carry out online services, such as activate the Digital Mobile Key or renew the Citizen Card
- Signature PIN, necessary to sign digital documents with the Citizen Card
- Cancellation code, necessary to cancel the Citizen Card.
