It's mandatory to renew the driving licence on the date indicated under restriction 997 or next to the Group II indication.

  • In the service counters of the regional and district services of the IMT or in the Balconies of the Citizen's Spaces and Citizen Spaces (EC) that make the service and IMT partners available.

    Until the age of 70 it costs 30 €, if you are over 70 you have the cost of 15 €

When can you revalidate restriction 997?

  • The Driving License can be renewed up to six months before the expiration date.
  • If the renewal period passes, a fine may be applied for driving with the 997 expired or invalid restriction.
  • Restriction 997 can only be revalidated by the deadline entered on the license, at the end of this period the driver must submit a new request for an endorsement by requesting a substitution instructing the application with Electronic Medical Certificate and Certificate of Psychological Assessment.
